Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida Ranks High
Florida health insurance received some good news earlier this year when JD Power Associates ranked Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida with the highest member satisfaction among commercial health plans in the region.
According to the press release on PR News Wire, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSFL), this is the third year they have received this prestigious award from JD Power Associates. The Associates 2011 National Health Insurance Plan Study recognizes BCBSFL as one of the leaders in Florida health care. Florida health insurance members ranked BCBSFL the best in overall member experience for Florida from the study. The study itself includes surveys from 17 areas in the US about members’ experience with their health plans in 2010.
The study looks at a variety of factors including approval process, claims processing, coverage and benefits, customer satisfaction, communication, information, provider choice and statements. Craig Thomas, senior vice president, Marketing & Strategy at BCBSFL says their move to a health solutions insurer is more important than ever given the competitive environment. BCBSFL continues to focus on superior customer satisfaction and are always looking for ways to improve their strategies.
